President Milanović accepts patronage of the 310th Sinj Alka

On Wednesday, the President of the Republic Zoran Milanović received a delegation from the Sinj Alkar Knights Society and accepted the patronage of this year's 310th Alka competition in Sinj (an annual event in which Alkar Knights compete in lancing a ring while on horseback at full gallop), which will be held on August 3.

Representatives of the Alkar Knights Society informed President Zoran Milanović about the preparations for holding the Sinj Alka and sent him a request for patronage of the 310th Sinj Alka, according to a statement from the President's Office, adding that Milanović accepted the patronage as in all previous years.

In addition to the President of the Sinj Alkar Knights Society Stipe Jukić, the meeting with Milanović was attended by the Deputy President of the Alkar Knights Society Dinko Bošnjak, the Alkar Vojvoda Mario Šušnjara, the Secretary of the Alkar Knights Society Ivan Nasić, the Arambaša Ivo Vukasović, and a member of the Honorary Court of the Alkar Knights Society Tomislav Župić.

President Milanović was accompanied by the President's Advisor for Human Rights and Civil Society Melita Mulić.
