New Croatian jerseys combine Glagolitic script, checkers, and lace

The recognizable red-and-white checkers have received a detail they have never had before—for the first time, letters of the Glagolitic script have been incorporated into them. The away kit brings another powerful Croatian motif: traditional lace on a dark blue background. The Croatian national football team has received its new official jerseys.

The company Adidas and the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) have presented the first kit collection created as part of their long-term partnership.

Glagolitic Script on Croatian Checkers for the First Time

The home jersey brings a contemporary interpretation of the traditional red-and-white squares, one of the most recognizable symbols of the Croatian national team.

The unique feature of the new design is the Glagolitic script, which has been integrated into the red-and-white squares for the first time.

Croatian tradition is also emphasized on the back of the collar, where the word "HRVATSKA" (Croatia) is written in the Glagolitic script.

Croatian Lace Inspires the Away Jersey

The away kit of the Croatian national team is inspired by the tradition of lace-making.

The lace motif stretches across a dark blue background, while "Croatia" is highlighted on the collar once again. Found there is the inscription "HRVATSKA" in a typography inspired by cross-stitch embroidery.

In this way, both kits connect traditional Croatian motifs with modern football jersey design.

Kustić: A Blend of Local Pride and Global Perspective

Both jerseys were developed to meet the demands of football at the highest level and include the latest Adidas CLIMACOOL+ technology, HNS points out.

"In cooperation with Adidas, we chose a design that perfectly combines local pride and a global perspective," said HNS President Marijan Kustić.
