The Croatian team of Nikola Mektić and Mate Pavić are through to the finals of the Geneva Open after beating the Czech - American team of Roman Jebavy and Hunter Reese in straight sets 7:6, 7:6, today.
Meanwhile, in the doubles draw at the ATP tournament in Lyon, France, fellow Croatian Ivan Dodig and his American partner Austin Krajicek have also advanced to the finals, after breezing past the duo of American Max Schnur and Artem Sitaka of New Zealand, 6:1, 6:2, in today's semi-final. They will play Brazilian Marcelo Melo and Argentine Maxim Gonzales for the title on Saturday.
Moving to the second grand slam of the season, the French Open, which is scheduled to start on Sunday. Croatia will be represented by Marin Čilić, Borna Ćorić and Borna Gojo in the men's singles draw. Čilić will open the tournament against Hungarian Attila Balazs, while Ćorić will face Spaniard Carlos Taberner. Gojo's first round opponent is yet to be determined.
In the women's draw, Croatia will be represented by Ana Konjuh, Petra Martić and Donna Vekić. In the first round Martić will square off against Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic, while Konjuh will play former world number one and 2018 French Open winner Simona Halep of Romania. Vekić is yet to find out her first round opponent.
