President Zoran Milanović spent Christmas Eve with Croatian soldiers taking part in the NATO KFOR mission in Kosovo.

President Zoran Milanović toured the camp under Italian command where the Croatian contingent is located, soldiers provided the president with a presentation of weapons and equipment, after which lunch was served.

Meanwhile, after it was confirmed yesterday that Montenegrin President Milo Đukanović tested positive for the coronavirus - and he had visited Zagreb two days earlier and met with President Milanović - the president was tested in Kosovo today and the result was negative.

“Yes I got tested, but just by the way. I came here today among a hundred young and healthy people who are vaccinated, so what can happen, even if I am infected, and I'm not. But I got tested, yes. What can happen to the soldiers?” asked Milanović.

In related news, President Zoran Milanović congratulated the MOST party on collecting signatures for a referendum to discontinue Covid certificates but added that he does not understand one of their referendum questions, noting that he doesn't understand why they needed it.

“Considering that story about changing laws with a referendum, the constitution is unclear here, the law on referendums, whatever it states can always be changed, but when referendum initiatives are in question to change or amend the existing text of the constitution, that's a ballistic approach, it's a nuclear weapon. It is a very powerful weapon in the hands of those that want to change the constitution, and if they get enough support from citizens, and they have succeeded without logistics, congratulations to them. So now if the referendum is held, and it should, it is 99 percent over, because no one will come out to the referendum to frustrate the referendum initiative, because that's ok for people,” said President Zoran Milanović.
