PM congratulates new Zagreb Mayor Tomislav Tomašević

Prime Minister Andrej Plenković called Zagreb Mayor Tomislav Tomašević on Friday to congratulate him on the recent local election victory and his taking over the post of mayor.

The prime minister will meet with Tomašević and all county heads on Tuesday, government spokesman Marko Milić told the Croatian state news agency Hina.

The meeting will focus on the continuation of the government’s partnership and cooperation with all counties and the City of Zagreb, COVID-19 vaccination, and preparations for the tourist season, Milić said.

Asked about the prime minister’s meeting with Tomašević and a meeting between representatives of the government and the Zagreb city administration, Milić said they would follow soon and that the main priority was post-earthquake reconstruction and other important topics for the city’s development.
