Croatian Parliament Speaker, Gordan Jandroković, stated that at the moment everything is open concerning the government cabinet reshuffle and that Prime Minister Andrej Plenković needs some more time to come up with his proposals.

There is speculation in the media that the Ministry of Defense and Veterans' Affairs could merge, and Gordan Jandroković, when asked if the merger of some ministries had been written off, briefly told reporters that "everything is open at the moment".

“Let the Prime Minister come up with proposals and then we will go public and explain,” he said in Gudovac, where he participated in the Spring International Bjelovar Fair.

Asked when the cabinet reconstruction is expected, Jandroković pointed out that the Prime Minister is in charge of that, and he himself said that he needs some time.

Journalists were also interested in whether the position of Agriculture Minister Marija Vučković was safe, who he "praised" in his speech at the fair, to which he explained that he presented the facts because the Minister has expertise in her department and does her job well.

Asked whether there were criteria for which ministers will leave and which will remain, Jandroković reiterated that it was Prime Minister Andrej Plenković who chooses his associates and team.

“It has always been so, it will be so now. When he first presents to the Croatian Democratic Union, and then to coalition partners what he plans to do, that is, reshuffle the Government cabinet, after that we will go to Croatian Parliament,” he said.

Responding to claims by MOST party member Nikola Grmoja that he managed to collect 31 signatures for the proposal to initiate a dismissal Deputy Prime Minister Milošević and Ministers of Labor and Economy Josip Aladrović and Tomislav Ćorić, Jandroković recalled that once the proposal is on the agenda, the Government must respond within eight days, and Parliament must discuss this point within 30 days.

Asked by reporters if this might not happen, as they could leave the government before it is on the agenda, Jandroković replied: "You noticed this well."

Asked if that means they have a solution to the situation, Jandroković said “No matter how wise Grmoja thinks he is, we always find a solution.”
