The government has confirmed that a law is being prepared that will regulate work on Sundays, taking into account the balance between work, rest and spending time with family.
The final bill is still being determined, and this week the relevant ministers Josip Aladrović and Tomislav Ćorić will talk to representatives of trade unions and employers.
The government points out that their position has not changed and that they still want Sunday to be non-working.
“We must be aware of the situation we are in and we will try to find a compromise that one part of the week ... To be a little more specific ... The Government's proposal will be that one part be working, while most of the Sundays in the Republic of Croatia are non-working. Now there is the issue of agreements, negotiations, and attitudes of individual unions. However, we will see that today and we will know in which direction we will go further with the discussion,” Aladrović emphasized.
