The Foreign Investors Council in Croatia held an online presentation of its annual White Book titled "Competitiveness has no Alternative" on Monday.
The Foreign Investors Council says that the White Book provides an overview of the current situation with regard to foreign investments as well as recommendations aimed at encouraging changes in the Croatian business environment. Council president Mladen Fogec said the goal is to make Croatia a more attractive destination to foreign investors: “The most important thing is that every stakeholder and the people who influence the accessibility of state services dealing with investment into Croatia are institutionalized, meaning that there is a systematic approach to foreign investors.”
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Zdravko Marić said the White Book represents an analysis of the current situation with a view towards the long-term goal of reforms, adding that when the pandemic begins to die down: “The kind of start we get off to will be vital, both on the macro national level and the micro individual business level. It will be very important to have a good strong start.”
The White Book, which has been published by the Council every year since 2013, is available online at the Foreign Investors Council website (https://www.ficc.hr/en/).
