Currently there are 1 894 active coronavirus cases in the country, of which 278 are receiving treatment in hospital. 24 patients are currently on respirators.

5 165 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours. Since the beginning of the outbreak, 15 136 cases of coronavirus have been registered, of which 12 987 have achieved a full recovery, 250 in the last 24 hour alone.

Meanwhile, a symposium was held in the "Dr. Andrija Štampar" Teaching Institute for Public Health on Tuesday, at which experts noted that obesity increases the risk of contracting COVID-19, as well as the chances of suffering from more serious complications. Obesity is one of the leading causes of cardio-vascular disease and is linked to diabetes, which are the leading causes of death among those infected with the coronavirus.
