After yesterday's 65, today there are almost three times fewer newly infected people with the coronavirus - 24. 138 people are in hospital, of which nine are still on respirators, unfortunately three people have died.
Two people died at the Osijek Clinical Hospital Center, and an 87-year-old woman who suffered from several chronic diseases died at the Clinical Hospital Center in Split.
Better news comes from Zagreb, where there is a decline in new cases of infection. There were 42 newly infected people over the weekend, but in the past 24 hours - only two, reported the director of the "Dr. Andrija Štampar" Institute of Public Health, Zvonimir Šostar.
“From these 42 positive, we have seen a drop that we also saw last weekend and that means 25 on Friday, 15 on Saturday and only two positive cases yesterday. In those three days we had 103 more potentially recovered, so that the number of active cases is continuously dropping and is now at 190 in the city of Zagreb,” said Šostar.
Apart from Zagreb, there are fewer newly infected people in most other counties. Split-Dalmatia had three, and Virovitica-Podravina and Bjelovar-Bilogora had two new cases each.
Osijek-Baranja, Varaždin, Sisak-Moslavina, Šibenik-Knin and Primorje-Gorski Kotar counties had one new infection each, and as many as nine counties have reported that they do not have a single new case of coronavirus infection.
