High interest of the French tourist market in Croatia

This year, the French tourist market is showing great interest in Croatia, whose tourist offer is included in the programs of the largest and most important French tour operators and agencies, and there is growing interest in the introduction of new regular air routes, reported the Croatian Tourist Board on Tuesday.

Good news for Croatian tourism comes from the recently held largest international tourist fair in France "Salon Mondial du tourisme" in Paris and from the accompanying business workshop organized by the Croatian Tourist Board representative office in Paris and gathered more than 60 French travel organizers and travel agencies.

Representatives of Croatia Airlines, Maistra, Falkenstainer, Hilton and agencies from almost all parts of Croatia discussed business opportunities and cooperation with them at the workshop.

“Participation in the "Salon Mondial du tourisme" is an excellent basis for additional highlighting of Croatia and tourist attractions in France. Croatia's offer is well represented by the most important French travel organizers, and the further growth of specialized offers with an emphasis on gastronomy, business, cultural and nautical tourism can certainly be an additional motive for the arrival of tourists from France to Croatia,” said the director of the Croatian Tourist Board representative office in Paris, Danijela Mihalić Đurica.

She notes that a lot is written about the Croatian tourist offer in the French media, and the increase in interest from that market is also confirmed by the fact that tourist traffic from France is constantly growing.

This has been the case so far this year, when according to data from the eVisitor system, French tourists in Croatia spent 54 percent more overnight stays than in the same period in 2019, according to the Croatian Tourist Board.
