The second day of the 16th GLOBSEC Global Security Forum was held in Bratislava on Wednesday. The focus of talks was on Europe and the world after the pandemic, new sources of energy and the digital systems of the fourth industrial revolution.

Representing Croatia at the three-day forum is Croatian Foreign and European Affairs Minister Gordan Grlić Radman. Today Minister Grlić Radman participated in a panel on the future of the Western Balkans, emphasizing that the European Union must help the countries of the Western Balkans in terms of their European integration.

"For Croatia the Western Balkans is our immediate neighbor, and when we talk about the perspectives of those countries, we are talking about the perspectives of their citizens. What Croatia and Slovenia achieved by joining the European Union, by adopting European values, the rule of law, human rights, democracy and freedom, is exactly what we want to transfer onto these countries, which naturally and geopolitically belong within the European Union," the minister told reporters after the panel discussion.

GLOBSEC is a non-partisan, non-governmental organization based in Bratislava, Slovakia. One of its main activities is the annual GLOBSEC Bratislava Global Security Forum.
