Annual ACAP meeting underway in Seattle

The first day of the annual conference concluded with a welcome reception that brought participants together in Seattle ahead of the official program. Old friends reconnected and new contacts were made, the Association of Croatian American Professionals (ACAP) said.

The reception was sponsored by the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ).

“HTZ is a true partner of ACAP. Their support helps connect Croatian-American professionals with Croatia, as well as with one another, setting the tone for a conference built on a sense of community and collaboration. We thank the Croatian National Tourist Board and Nela Ban for making the evening so enjoyable and welcoming,” the association said.

ACAP, the Association of Croatian American Professionals, is a non-profit organisation that connects Croatian and American professionals, academics, entrepreneurs and students to foster professional growth and collaboration.

As part of the program, a panel will bring together representatives of traditional media, digital creators, podcasters and other storytellers.

They will discuss how journalism, social media, podcasts, influencers and new technologies are changing the way Croatia and its diaspora are seen, communicated with and understood, as well as how content created by the diaspora is taking Croatian stories far beyond the country’s borders.

Vladimir Brnardić, acting editor of the Independent Department for the Program for Croatians Outside Croatia, will also speak about the program for Croatians living abroad.
