Snow in Slavonia
Western Slavonia is magical at any time of year says Vanesa Bilobrk who spent the the day on the slopes of Psunj. She says that this much snow can barely be remembered by the oldest inhabitants of this picturesque and often forgotten part of Croatia, which is far from the typical stereotypes of "flat Slavonia."

Winter in Zagreb
This year, winter in Zagreb has left a good impression. Many were delighted with the multitude of events in the nation's capital, as well as the unseasonably warm weather that brought joy to the citizens of Zagreb and tourists alike. Anera Krpan, who arrived from Germany on a holiday visit to the capital city, took in the lovely atmosphere of the Savka Dabčević Kučar embankment along the Sava River.

Ponta - the main beach in Viganj near the St. Liborius cape
During the winter this ideal beach is home to flocks of seagulls; during the summer its swarming with windsurfers, for which Viganj is widely known. Throughout history Viganj has been mentioned as the home of famous sailors and captains. Legend has it that a long time ago during a fearsome storm a sailor found shelter in the small bay. As a token of his gratitude the sailor built a small church on the cape and named it Our Lady of Liborius. (Photo: Tatjana Rau, Voice of Croatia)

Rain drops in Autumn

Novi Vinodolski vineyards
The climate that is created where the mountains kiss the coastal area is like a gift from God for the cultivation of wine grapes. Bathed in the sun, numerous shades of green spill into each other in front of the eyes of guests who enjoying a glass of wine in the shade of the lookout point watch the sparks of new life. The other face of a Zadar postcard – the turbulent October Sea
Even the bravest have found shelter in the safety of the harbour against waves that are crashing into the Zadar waterfront. This very waterfront, from which the most beautiful sunsets can be seen, was admired by famous director Alfred Hitchcock while sipping a domestic Maraschino drink on a May evening in 1964. Discover Zagreb
Walking, by bus, tram or air... Zagreb can be experienced in so many ways. Strolling through Zagreb's streets, we captured a moment, authentic and special, a view of the green oasis of Zrinjevac and the cathedral protruding in the distance.

Soft dusk in the embrace of Velika Gorica lakes.
While we watched the setting sun, pallet of colours and contours of the waves, the silence of twilight was disturbed by the sounds of crickets and the loud gulping of a thirsty swan.

The sea and the colour of a storm
This photograph of the week was taken on the Western coast of Istra. Over the past two weeks this Croatian beauty experienced more rain than in the first 8 months of the year combined. Nature once again showed its moodiness that some attribute to climate change, while others claim that it was always like this and that after a long drought, rainy periods regularly follow. Whatever the case, nor cloudy skies, a lot of rain or tornadoes could not wash away the positive spirit with which we welcomed in the fall. (Foto: Tomislav Šikić/Voice of Croatia)
