Ryanair first flight on the low-cost airline's new route from London to Osijek landed today in the eastern Croatian city, carrying 185 passengers.
After a short break, the plane returned to London with 133 passengers on board. Ryanair has resumed flights to Osijek after a seven year pause.
Booking in both directions has been solid, indicating that the flight will boost tourism in both directions.
According to the airline’s summer flight schedule, Ryanair will fly between Osijek and London twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays. Travelers from Osijek are able to have an extended weekend in London, while travelers arriving from the opposite direction will be able to enjoy a few days in Slavonia and Baranja.
“We travel quite often but very rarely from Osijek. This is our second time that we’re departing from Osijek. In 2014, this line was introduced and as soon as I saw that it was back, I had to book a ticket,” passenger Dina Perković told HRT.
The aircraft on this flight has a capacity of 189 passengers. The flight will be available until the end of October.
