The president of the Homeland Movement, Ivan Penava, launched an initiative to establish a European agency for aerial firefighting interventions, whose headquarters would be in Croatia.
“What turns out to be a weakness in the European Union system is that such an agency for aerial firefighting interventions does not exist at the EU level. Croatia, as a member of the EU, but also as an EU country that does not have a single European agency on its territory, is in a good position to first propose and then get one agency in its territory,” said Ivan Penava.
