“The MOST party has collected enough signatures for its referendum initiative,” Nikola Grmoja told Croatian Radio today. The deadline for collecting signatures for the referendum initiative ended at midnight. With it, MOST wants to abolish COVID certificates and transfer the decision-making powers on part of the measures from the National Civil Protection Headquarters to Croatian Parliament. 369,000 signatures had to be collected.
“According to the first information from the field, we managed to collect the required number of signatures. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who signed the referendum petition, and most of all our volunteers, because without them this referendum would not have been possible. Due to the tradition of referendum theft, every signature is important, and that is why it is important for us to collect every signature list from the field in the days ahead and we ask volunteers to keep their signature lists well. We are now counting the signatures in detail, and we will come out with additional information on Wednesday at a press conference. The message to the Government is already quite clear - the citizens of the Republic of Croatia have said no to the headquarters and no to discriminatory COVID certificates,” Nikola Grmoja told Croatian Radio.
