Headquarters: More than 14,000 people have died so far, 11,980 newly infected today

In the last 24 hours, 11,980 new cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in Croatia, and 46 people have died, bringing the number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic to 14,000.

Out of 11,980 newly infected, 8,094 new cases were confirmed by PCR tests and 3,886 by rapid antigen tests; compared to last Friday, the number of newly infected fell by more than 3500.

According to the National Civil Protection Headquarters, there are 2,126 patients in hospitals, and 185 of them are on respirators.

In the last 24 hours, 46 people have died.

The total number of deaths in Croatia from Covid or with Covid since the beginning of the epidemic has risen to 14,035 people.

The number of deaths has been growing rapidly in recent months, in less than three months, from November 17 until today, nearly 4,000 people have died.

The active number of cases in Croatia today is 57,686 people, while 27,656 are in self-isolation.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, a total of 971,464 people have been confirmed to be infected out of a total of 4,301,921 tests performed. In the last 24 hours, 16,085 people were tested.

Until yesterday, at least one dose of the vaccine was received by 56.60 percent of the total population, or 67.35 percent of the adult population.

Yesterday, 7,250 doses of vaccine were consumed in Croatia, of which 896 people were vaccinated with the first dose.

Two doses of the vaccine (or one dose of Jannsen vaccine) have been given to 64.96 percent of the adult population.
