The epidemiological situation in Croatia continues to be stable, as according to the latest data from the National Civil Protection Directorate 103 new positive coronavirus test results have been registered over the past 24 hours. With 4 460 test conducted in that period, this puts Croatia's test positivity rate over the past 24 hours at 2.3%. Three coronavirus-related deaths have been reported since yesterday.
Currently there are 525 people with active positive test results in Croatia, of which 151 people are receiving treatment in hospital, while 13 patients are on respirators. 3 276 people are in self-isolation, while 71 people have been given a clean bill of health since yesterday.
Since the beginning of the outbreak in Croatia, on February 25th of last year, Croatia has registered 359 975 positive test results, of which 351 241 have since been given a clean bill of health. A told 2 153 014 test have been conducted and 8 209 coronavirus-related deaths have been reported. As of yesterday health workers have administered 2 568 877 doses of the vaccine, with 1 488 759 people having received their first dose, while 1 080 118 have received both injections. 34 718 doses of the vaccine were administered yesterday alone.
As of today the European Union's digital COVID certificates, which indicate if a person has been vaccinated, has recovered from the virus or has a valid negative test, are valid, meaning that EU citizens will be able to use them to cross the union's internal borders and to attend public gatherings and events as prescribed by the host country.
