According to the National Civil Protection Directorate, 677 new positive coronavirus test results have been registered over the past 24 hours. 10 453 tests were conducted since yesterday, giving Croatia a 24 hour test positivity rate of slightly less than 6.5%. Four coronavirus-related deaths have been reported since Tuesday.
Currently there are 2 951 active positive test results in the country, of which 356 are receiving treatment in hospital. 46 patients are on ventilators. 282 people have been given a clean bill of health since yesterday.
Since the beginning of the outbreak in Croatia, on February 25th of last year, a total of 370 985 positive test results have been registered, of which 359 724 have since been given a clean bill of health. 8 310 coronavirus-related deaths have been reported. 2 490 899 tests have been conducted, and there are currently 6 585 people in self-isolation. Croatia's overall test positivity rate currently stands at just under 14.9%. Croatia's overall coronavirus case fatality rate stands at roughly 2.2%. When taken as a percentage of the total population, coronavirus-related deaths stand at roughly 0.2%. It should be noted however, that in keeping statistics there has been no distinction made between deaths with COVID-19 and deaths from COVID-19.
As of yesterday, Croatian health care workers have administered 3 227 814 doses of the coronavirus vaccine. Just under 42% of the total population, or 50.45% of the adult population, have received at least one dose of the vaccine, while 47.1% of the adult population have received both doses. 8 563 doses of the vaccine were administered yesterday alone.
